--Iraqi power blocs fail to agree on government: No deal and no agreement on power in Iraq. There would not have to be a deal if they had some agreement before the elections with regards to how the process is going to work. If the people did not know how the process was going to work during the election how where the people supposed to know who to vote for?

--No full Syrian withdrawal until April, Lebanon announces: Anti-Syria protesters, Pro-Syrian protesters... It is all a power play between the countries that should have nothing to do with the future of Lebanon. Let the people decide. Have a public discussion and then have a vote.

--This is more than silly. The idea that Al-Qaeda has "compensated for the loss of its training camps in Afghanistan by using the internet to run lucrative credit-card fraud schemes" is about as stupid as they come. They cannot train fighters but they can now cheat people out of money? I do not find that they are on the same level.

--Canada is going the way of Big Brother. This affects all of us intenet junkies and the future of communication in this country. VOIP should be free and monopolies should not be allowed. The public has paid for the introduction of these services and the construction and maintenance of the internet in Canada. We should not be paying for this twice just so some capitalist in charge of a communications conglomerate can make a monopolizing profit. The people need to demand open access to this technology.

ModBlog - Red Bewtween the Lines: Churches ‘breaking the law' by offering sanctuary
This should not be accepted by the public. There is a long history of this action and in my opinion one of the main reasons for the separation of church and state (other than the fact that religion is inherently undemocratic). There needs to be a place that people can get protection from the state.
